Tmi,tmi,tmi

Hey all just joined and this is my first post other than saying hi!Been reading so much on lasers esp.greenies my brain hurts.A week ago I knew hardly anything but now..you guys know your stuff or seem to.I've dabled in electronics for awhile,just basic stuff.Used to be into model rocketry then RC helicopters. My first project I think(besides getting goggles for the 532nm and 405nm)will be 50mw violet.My first and only laser is a 5mw pointer that seems to be pretty good on brightness and solid construction but I think it's more than 5mw I'll have to find a LPM and check it.Got it off E-bay like most do.I've got another on the way,it's called a jd851 and uses a 16340 battery says it's a 5mw focusable..we shall see.This forum is a wealth of knowledge and I thank the admins.Don't really have a question for now just wanted to let some of what's in my head spill on the screen.After learning the acronyms alone my head started to hurt.Anywho hello from Texas and keep modding I'll have a plethora of questions later..Cliff
