Hey all,
I'm thinking about buying a new laser. I want one that is about 30mW and pretty nice quality. I'm deciding where to buy it from. I'm not sure if I should get one from rayfoss, budgetgadgets, or somewhere else. I do not want it to be underspec either. Thanks everyone!

I'm looking for a 30mW but that looks nice. I might consider it. How about the 30mw lasers on rayfoss? Are they up to spec and are they good quality?

A lot of people recently have been getting very poor products from rayfoss.

So, what other places can I buy a good 30mw under $50?

Cheap and good usually don't go well together.

For a good 5mw green your going to pay more than $50.

If you want a good laser around 30mw check out the novalaser X25. Sure it is out of your price range but it is good.

Now if you want a laser in your price range check out this guy Green Laser Pointer Pen 30mW $12.41 Free Shipping

Also check out optotronics they have a quality 30 near your price: Optotronics Product Details

Why do you need something exactly 30mW and not 50 for example? Do you have any specific use intended for the laser?

My recommendation would be either get one from optotronics or o-like or get this: DealExtreme: $31.71 Focusable 50mW Green Laser Pointer with Safety Key Lock (1*18650 Included) I've seen lots of reviews about that laser and it should be quite good quality and upto spec. You can search for some reviews here on lpf or watch some videos on youtube, the laser is usually referred to as SDLaser 301

(If you need batteries + charger with it get these: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20392 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12594)

No reason, really. I would consider anything 20mw to 50mw. I was thinking about this one: $21.66 New Keychain Green Beam Laser Pointer Pen Flashlight 30mW/50mW/100mW - BudgetGadgets.com
