Hi Everyone,
Went to sleep last night thinking 505nm diode WL , then woke up and still had that thought. So about 5;30AM EST i commenced to warm up the lathe. Well here are some pics of the host and sink that this diode will be going into. Will most likely bring it to life later on this evening. The driver will be a nano set to 275mA haven't decided what lens to put in it a G2, 3 element or a 2 element. hope you like it.

Hi GSS,
Good thinking for the mean green i just thought a EDC would be perfect with a copper sink and knob. ill finish it up later on this evening for some shots. Have a lot of time on vacation for 11 days so i will also do a 480nm in a blue camo host to ..

Hi BM,
Thanks can't wait myself should be a great build and a choice of WL to boot .. I was checking out the camera you bought I'm starting to get antsy ,but must have control .

Thanks Rich, It's got a bunch of buttons on it, that I have to figure out what they do. But they look cool sitting there. :)

That's a great host for it, I think 2 element would be a good choice but that's just my guess, looking forward to some beam shots so fire up your fog machine.

It's been raining here for days, it would look good outside tonight.

Nice Rich. Thinking a G2 would tell us a lot about what to expect for beam and dot quality. I have the new duo on the way. 510 mod or husky pen build to decide.

Hi RC,
By me trying to decide of what lens i knew you would chime in about a 2 element. I read some of your posts on the greens and you always mention that lens in particular .I am going to try one . I thought that this green host with copper would fit the bill, now I'm certain about it with the replies. Thank you pal for the response ...Oh by the way its sunny here in Jersey 85 degrees .

Hi Dan,
i made a few 510's from hosts they are cool a different approach from the usual vape mods. At least these have a constant on clicky.I have a green host to like the pink one and one blue also. Plenty of skyray's to .. The black Q5 EDC isn't a 510 i just made that host to fit a Sanwu 3X BE.

Very nice, Rich. You got about the same as I did with a G-2 lens at 280 mA. IIRC, I got 128 mW. That is a serious decrease in power with the 2 element lens. Have you tried the acrylic lenses that come with modules you buy from DTR or others? They are free anyway and at this power should be fine. Love the build and the color of this diode. It has a hint of blue when next to a 532nm beam.

The 3ele was better than the 2ele? Hmm you sure? I'm probably going to stick with the acrylic lens DTR sends. Have one of those laying around to test? How bad is the noise for each lens? Thanks Rich

Ok awesome responses and thank you all for all the positive feeds and all the work everyone did for theses diodes. And yes I will try an acrylic lens and show later , I couldn't wait to build it next up a 480 EDC with an X Boost
