no its round my camera isn't the best but gets the job done. I rather spend my cash on tooling and supplies rather than a new camera. The dot size is nice on these diodes buddy and the WL is awesome to. Thank you for replying pal always good to hear from you.

Yes, I noticed it has a rectangular emitter while I had it defocused with a G-2 lens, but couldn't say what the beam would look like at distance. I believe these are both single mode diodes, but there is a rectangular emitter on both.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if it had a dot similar to the LPC-836 or LPC-840. It has a very small emitter.

How does the color compare to how your camera captures it? I haven't seen many pictures of the hue yet and am curious what to expect when my modules arrive.

The color in the pics above are what the camera picked up and what i seen. Thats about 498 to 502NM driver set to 275mA ..

I anxiously await my package from DTR. I wanted to buy now before the Great Driver Shortage hits. I hope at least one of the diodes is low-wavelength. Yours looks beautiful, and the 500nm mark is my sweet spot, personally.

No I did not I purchased mine from an overseas vendor. When they were first introduced by a member here .DTR sells great 505's with drivers completely made up . I have mine set to 275mA

Luckily I was at the town, couldn't believe it when my friends told it. Checked that everyone was OK (my phone was struggling to keep up the rate of my whats's), and yes, none of my relatives or friends were harmed. But could have gone in a different way.
Hope that scum like that dies painfully, really.

I'm actually busy trying to figure why ebay's page of newgazer or techhood doesn't allow to ship to china, already contacted them. You know, 503nm in a Sanwu pocket host... :drool:

Sorry skimmed through the thread , well it has a nice round dot surprisingly not bad at all. Thats with a G2 lens..Ill be making another 505nm pen maybe in CU this time around but with a 1 cell tube..
