[quote author=Diachi link=1226261222/0#4 date=1226265179]put one 10440 and a spacer in it, that will give you 3.6V instead of 3V so you might get more power  :)

what if you put in a stronger IR diode and upped the current or replaced the driver with say a rckstr?

The crystals would most likely saturate at 50mW's.

Don't put two 10440s in yu0r laser, it dies ;D Killed one of my LEDshoppe 5mWs by doing that, well it still works , but not unless I use two 10440s , AAAs dont work now I ripped it apart ....

hello boy!....i wnat MORE power ( volts) in my laser pen :)

i thinked 3 things.
1____PUT into the laser 2x 10440 lion battery IN PARALLEL. so... the voltage is only3.6/4 volt. and i think this could NOT break the laser. fresh alkalines are at 1.6 volt...=3.2volt. about 3.6/4 i think cannot be a big proble... just limit the cicle time.(the poblem is only to find a EASY way to put in paralal the batteries....using thin plastic bar... and copper wire.....!!! ::)
2____tu buy SCPECIAL batteries..called KAN700aaa .(at 700mah)battery tih high draft....produced to keep high the voltage...also UNDER BIG LOAD. rechargeable such as other NIMH battery. ;)
3____ to buy another special battery.......battery also KANN400 (at 400mah)BUT IN A SIZE FORM wich is 2/3 of one normal AAAbattery! so... you can put in the laser 3 batteries....to have aboout 1.2*3=3.6 vlt... THIS SHOULD DO the best way!specially for high powered green laser...... at least 60...80mw....because it combines a PERFECT a bit overvlted .....with batteries CREATED to be used in high drain devices :)

here there is the link page!!! http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?sid=1426353&pgid=loosecells

what could be your favourite choice??1...2..or 3 ? i vote for 3.also because the 3 batteries can be charged with NIMH.......and not require to buy a lion charger

Realista, nice link. Do you have a different link for a good, decently priced charger for those batteries?

you can search onm the web the lacrosse bc900 charger or the maha c9000. they are the 2 most popular charger with the fearure to determine the amount of TRUE mah. if you want other chargers.....look at only charger with 4 singlechannel for 4 battery.

someone can tell me if my 3 option are good? and if the 3rd option is the best solution to have a suntained miliwat power tih an higher voltage with 3* 1.2 volt? 3.6/3.9 ar not TOO volt for a laser that could operate with 2 fresh alkaline at 1.6*2=3.2 or lithium energizer... 3.6 volt is the best solution for a laser....a bit more power.. but not TOO power. could output higher mw...in the laser pen!
