LOL when I was in school like 7 years ago I was in 9th grade earth science. Anyways I was showing a couple of my friends this red pointer I got for like $30 at the time. Well my teacher saw it and he TOOK it from me  . I was so mad. I mean I got it back and the end of the day but I was really mad.

h3h lol
Ashton... thats called thermite. I don't recommend trying it; it's a metal fire and is actually impossible to put out. You just have to let it burn out.

lol! yep. But, You can put out thermite, just not easily, you have to flood it enough that it either cools or spreads out so much that it cant sustain itself. My father was in charge od disposal/destruction of surpluss equipment/document/chmicals/etc when he was in the military, so I know about all kinds of nasty s*** like that. Never had the chance (or rather, the desire) to play with it though, I know how dangerous it is. in retrospect it probably wasn't a good idea to mention the formula here...

I'm pretty sure thermite isn't illegal, but then again who really cares if it's illegal cause we are having a lot of companies illegally impoting Class IIIB lasers without saftey features to us.

You can look up the recipes for MILLIONS of deadly items on teh web - mentioning Thermite on here won't hurt anything, I am certain :)

You can buy thermite on E Bay. It's just Iron oxide and Aluminum powder. You can use Magnesium ribbon, a chemical catalyst, or torch paper to ignite it. It burns at 3000 degrees Celsius and basically IMPOSSIBLE to put out. It can turn a block of ice into a hydrogen/ oxygen explosion or burn through an engine block. Fun stuff. I showed my physics teacher my 5mW a while ago and got lots of extra credit. Good times in high school...

not quite that simple, RA. To make ir properly you need german dark aluminum and the aluminum has to be VERY finly powdered or it wont burn. I've heart of people powdering aluminum foil in a blender (yes it can be done) or even using a powder mill (dont sure the right term, but uses ball berings somehow) and it still wont ignight. And to get said aluminum you have to be lisenced because idiots think you're making ilelgal M80 fireworks instead of perfectly legal Thermite! (lol)

There are lots of ways around that, of course, you can buy both in a very accomidating form in most cities under a different name, however I wont say where or how, else some kid decides to burn down a building using it....
