Want to buy a 200-300 532 from Lazerer. Anything above 100 has a tail switch, I like momentary/body button. Is there a way a momentary can be added to the body and still have the tail usable?

If not, another option is to buy a 200-300 532 Green from Rayfoss or LaserBTB, both have momentary/body buttons. But, I have no experience with these companies and have good luck with Lazerer.

Comments appreciated.

Yeah, you can do that. The tail switch is just a toggle switch anyway. It's like those key interlocks. You'd need a special host or rig it up yourself though.

Could you explain more? It would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rick

You could swap out the existing switch with a forward clicky switch. This is the kind that turn on as you press it in before it actually "clicks"
Then have te ability to use it as a momentary or constant on switch.

You can take the existing switch apart and remove the small inside spring.

I'm not too sure how the switch works. Mohrenberg says a forward clicky would work. However finding one that would fit may take a while. Surely the current switch could be modified to make contact before the click/notch is met.

I don't know what you mean by small spring.

Inside the switch are several components. If there is some contact problem I open the switch and clean the contacts. There is also a small spring that keep the pressure on the button. Remove that spring and the switch will be momentary on/off instead of click on/click off.

OR

you can buy a Jetlaser Ti-B 2.0 150mW typically ~200mW-IR filtered --the tail cap has piston style 'switching' tighten cap for constant on- loosen for momentary- all done from the tail.
Not much there that can break- and keeps this unique titanium laser very water resistant.- 5 in stock ATM

$190(forum member price)- PM me if you want. Blord likes his- see his review
