Well messed around a bit and managed to get a red match (sharpied) to light after a bit. Using my saftey glasses Ive noticed there is a bit of mode hopping when it turns off but settles down to tem01 after a sec. Never seems to go to a perfect tem00 but whatever.

EDIT: Heres a pic without the lens, laser is about 3ft from the floor.

What up guys! I got my super beast today and WoW!!!!! It has a nice beam in my room with the lights turned off! Not super bright but very nice. It can not burn anything even blackened with a sharpie. I dont have any baloons so i cant test that out.

ONE PROBLEM: It was amazing for about 5 minutes now its very dim and the beam can't be seen. I did 30 seconds on 30 seconds off for ~5 minutes now its shitty.

Could it be the battery? It came with a plastic new battery. My rechargeables are on the way, but 5 minutes? It cant be...

Edit: Now its working good after letting it rest for 15 minutes but I'm pissed. Its still not the same as the first 5 minutes.

Should i contact asking for a replacement or could it be the batteries?

Thanks.

Its most likely the battery, who knows how long they have been sitting around in a warehouse.

@djog: Yea I used rechargeables because they supply a 3.7v (4.2v fresh off the charger) to the laser which will produce a higher output beam. The battery it comes with is a CR123A primary, which only supplies 3.0v.

Long story short the more volts the higher the output, just be careful not to fry your laser. I believe the superbeast's driver can support upto 5v (Not entirely sure).

@elite and enigma: I think he might have sent me one of his #100 pens by mistake my IQS pen is a beast! lol 110mW peak and steady at 90mw (when batts are fresh) and only 17.5% IR! It operates in TEM01 though.

Me too

You have an LMP right?

No, I don't :-(

I'm waiting for a fresh batch of Radiant LPMs to be made, I'm going to order one of those right away. Otherwise though... I patiently wait, lurking so I can have more accurate reviews and hopefully even help some people ouT by providing a LPM service.

it's the battery. just get those new rechargeable and you'll be good.

@enigmahack - i'm waiting for that new batch of Radiant Alphas also.. can't wait to get my hands on one of those.

***oh and djog44... if new charged batteries don't fix the problem itemqs will take care of you. his contact info is up in the first post.

Well I finally got around to using/testing my #100! But I managed to forget to log the curves... :( I did write the info. down though :) and it follows:

Room temp. 68˚F
Average testing time 40-45 seconds.

Stock Lumaforce battery: 3.257v
93mw

Laser head temp. 2nd run 73˚F
Stock Lumaforce battery: 3.257v
97mw

Laser head temp. 1st run 73˚F
Energizer battery: 3.124v
104mw

Laser head temp. 2nd run 74˚F
Energizer battery: 3.124v
102mw

Laser head temp. 1st run 72˚F
Ultrafire 15266 w/ spacer: 4.04v
109mw

Laser head temp. 2nd run 73˚F
Ultrafire 15266 w/ spacer: 4.04v
119mw

Laser head temp. 1st run 74˚F

Anybody bought a Super Power #100 Green Laser Pointer Visible Beam W/Box from our guy itemquickship yet? I'll bet it's a nice AAA pointer!

Yeah, I got one. Tested a steady 80mW (2 min run time) with a nice beam, better than the Super Beast I bought. Comes in a nice spring loaded case. No pics now, will post them later.

I like it better than the Super Beast.

Also got the standard Green pointer. Puts out 30mW.
