I'm not happy. :-/

I think it's TEM10 and it doesn't go to TEM00.

Yea, the mW drops a lot when it looks like that.

Fortunatley I have had the same problem with my x-85, and I got it to work again. :D
It looked exactly the same for me, and it was dust on an inner lens! Don't aks me how it got there, though. It must be dust on yours too...
Do this if you wish:

Open the optics part of the laser (screw off the head by the golden ring) and put it away for a moment. You should now have an uncollimated beam. Look at where the beam comes from, there is a very tiny lens there. Clean it GENTLY with a REALLY clean piece of microfiber cloth, until you're satisfied.

It looks too irregular to be a mode issue. I'd guess dirty optics are to blame.

The fuzzynes is because of the lens I used to expend the beam, here is another with a concave lens:

My camera makes it look a little fuzzy.

Do you mean this part? It's so fixed that it feels like I'm gonna brake it if I try any harder.

Would it be a good idea to send it to nova for repairs? I have to pay for the shipping and the pars.

Anyone else who have done something like this?

FML, yes I mean the part you think I mean. Strange it is solid for you, I could screw it off without any probs.

I still think it is dirt on a lens, however if you love it and it is still under warranty, send it to Nova for repair. They know what they're doing. :) But I'm not sure about the import/export taxes. When I got my x-85 I had to pay about 100 bucks only for importing it. So I don't know what to do really: send it to Nova with the risk of high costs, or to try to take it apart and fix it yourself...

Yea, when I first got it I also had to pay an extra $100, and the warranty has expired (+90 days).

So if I send it I'll have to pay for shipping, parts and maybe another $100. This is bull cr@p!
