Not much to say about this build. 100mw 532nm Module and a Jayrob Green Stainless Host. Took a whole 5 mins to assemble.

Measured output using a CR123 Cell is 90mw Stable.

Nice little unit. You can carry that guy anywhere. 90mw's of 532nm's is nice. It's more real green than the 520nm. Bet it's real bright for the size. Enjoy that puppie. :)

Love the look of the host. You could have increased the output power on that module if you just heat sink the output transistor on the driver board. Then you can turn the pot CCW to increase the power. But, 90 mW is fine for this kind of pointer.

It does look nice. Small and quite an acceptable output. I am more than happy with it. I don't think I will try and increse the output.

Very nice.

I still love high quality beam lasers that the user can enjoy without drawing a lot of attention, 90mw of 532 is enjoyable and looks bright until you set a bigger laser next to it, but why do that, enjoy it as it is, 90mw of 532 looks good.

p.s. I still love the 650nm - 660nm reds of about 200mw, they are such a beautiful color and like the dpss 532 they make a good beam.

I really do like this little thing. Very nice beam and not to powerfull as to cause a menice.

I have a Nubm44 on order. Don't know what the hell I can do with that other than admire the technology. Most of the fun will be building the host for it. Will be a Lab Style. Probably from a 50x50x100 Block of Ally with Fins and Forced cooling.

Are you going to use a cylindrical pair for correction of that rapidly diverging axis?

For a desktop burner you don't need it, but to project a halfway decent beam it will sure help.

I was thinking Paul's idea but kudos for thinking safety:beer:
Were did you buy the 532 module if I may ask?
I was going to ask for a front view but I can look up Jayrob's builds unless its an oldie?

The 100mw was an old one I had lying around. Not sure were i bought it. I did buy a 200mw from laserlands recently but it was faulty and a full refund supplied. The Jayrob Host I purchased from him recently.

I will see what the beam looks like on the Nubm44 when I get it built. Can it be worse than the Mitsi multimode 638 ?.. It has a super wide beam at distance, Much wider than my M140.

Ok, also glad you got a total refund form laserlands, which come to think of it, wasn't it you that they first offered a measly $10:whistle:

Yes though my NUM44 has a wide diverange and that rectangle spot but i'm limited into how much throw room I have so I use it for up close burning. Ok as you know a 3 element helps a bit and at a potential of 7W's with a G2, 6W's or so with the 3 element is sure plenty.
I had mine set at 4A and still almost 6W is way over kill, to me anyways. Whether you use it at is or with beam expanders, or don't use it much as its way too strong, it sure is a nice diode to have in your collection:)

Yep, That was me. First they sent a 150mw instead of 200mw. That's when they offered a $10 refund. But after I checked it with my LPM it peaked at 50mw for about a sec then dropped to 25mw. After showing the graph they did a full refund.

The Nubm44 is so dam dangerous I may not do much with it other than have fun building it. Will wait and see.

Its the difference of maby igniting a fire on a popsicle stick with the M140 and turning that popsicle stick to insatant charcoal with the NUM44:cool:
As we speak i'm thinking "RedCowBoy's" juices are flowing so i'm sure he's chiming in again:beer:
