ok i wanted to get a 30mW laser from www.dealextreme.com and i cant because i live in the usa, but i told my frind at school and he said his dad lives in panama and he said that i could ship it to their house, and they could ship it to me, im in michigan but my question is will the US Costomes xray the package to see it its a laser and if they do xray it will they confenscate it how to i do this should i tell them to peel the sticker off that says 30mW on it or tell them to take it apart as well HELP pleasE!@!

That should work. You should ask them to wrap it tightly with something that isn't transparent. And ask them to label it as a "Ballpoint Pen" No need to disassemble the laser.

my 5mw greenie from dx was labeled as a light pen, no joke. i'd have it called "flashlight" or something if you go the canada route and don't want it opened.

Tell them to ship it via "light packet airmail". Customs won't go through the millions of airmail packages that pass through daily...

You need to be very careful.  The last guy who ordered from DX was caught by the Canadian mounties and placed in a dark jail cell with 30 horny gay guys.  The safest way is to hire a chinese courier that will hide the laser in his groin region and ask him to not shower for the two weeks prior to his laser journey. ...  NOW back to your regular programming ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey t3rmanater, this form is the best because there's nobody here rude enough to spam up the boards, well at least for your purpose.  I think that based on your mentality presented by your actions and lack of respect, (you could have posted in the "Welcome board" + that new topic excuse isn't even true) that you probably need more maturing to do before you go and cause yourself, someone around you, or animals any agony with misuse of the laser you're seeking.  In my opinion, you probably would never have registered to LPF if there were no issues getting lasers sold and shipped for so dirt cheap to the USA.  I say, if you really want a 30mW laser, assuming this would be your first high powered laser, then you should wait until you could afford something like this which do ship to US with no problems (yet) and are of much better quality.  Coming to this forum to try to figure a way to go around the rules which are intended to protect the people (especially with an attitude like yours, or lack there of...) is blasphemy in my opinion.  Please, if you're interested in lasers, be safe and don't do anything stupid because believe me, you WILL be sorry (no, I'm not threaten you, just read around some of the horror stories of people doing 4months to 14 years for just shining a helicopter with a green laser).  Thanks, peace, Ace
