Ive spent a long time browsing the web looking for an answer and couldn't find much other then people disagreeing.. I just purchased this laser and it "supposedly" has a true output around 100mW in 532nm wavelength. From what I can tell this is NOT IR filtered, is this a big deal for ~100mW and can you guys recommend a cheap set of glasses that protect against 532nm? If the IR is a decent concern any links/info as to where I can get an IR filter? Sorry for all noob questions I just want to insure I have everything understood fully before I end up with permanent eye damage. Thanks in advance

Firstly, please, PLEASE use google. I found 5 sites selling safety glasses for the green and green-red range in about 30 seconds.

and secondly, hate to break it to you...that laser says 1.00mW, not 100mW. Now, theres a very high chance it will be overspec to a large degree (and may very well being around 100mW), but if its not, there's no need to buy safety goggled, as 1mW wont do anything to your eyes, unless you looked right into it for a good 30-60 seconds lol.

And hey, if it does end up being 100mW, then congrats, you just found a source for incredibly cheap 100mW greens! If you want to know the true power of your laser, there are lots of people on these forums that will meter it if you ship it to them.

I appreciate the answer and I have been using google I just really want to be double sure of everything before I hurt myself or someone else. According to HERE this exact one output around 70-80 real world mW. I was able to find cheap safety glasses but I don't really trust some random company off ebay/amazon without input from someone with experience in the field as I have none. I'm not trying to bother everyone with stupid questions that can be found on google in less than a minute, im trying to verify everything.
