Is it safe?/cool laser effect

So I discovered a really cool laser trick. If you shine a laser on to your fingernail, it reflects and makes a cool reflection on the wall. I'm just wondering is this safe for my finger? Underneath the nail is exposed meat (like everybody else), will 20 to 30mw green laser harm it?

It wont harm your skin at that rating, but the reflection will damage your eyes should it hit you...

I know it can hurt my eye, I was just worried about the exposed flesh underneath the nail.

The worst that it could do is burn you, but you would feel the warmth and pull away long before any damage could be done.

LOL my laser seems to be like 20mw with semi used batteries and like 30mw with new maybe. LEDShoppe way underpowered. Do you think if I ordered another one and ask for a free one because the other one I bought was defective?

i dont think it counts as exposed if it being covered by you finger nail
its like saying you don't want to go outside because you are naked under your clothes lol!!

lol kind of but the finger nail is somewhat clear. Its like going outside because your naked under your clear clothes.
