Nice display of raw power. I hope you are basking in the knowlege that you wield such an incredible energy projector and I look forward to your future videos. Just think man, you are melting solid plastic with a beam of light - from a good distance away!

Yeah it is sooooo cool! Ever since middle school Lasers and science were always on my mind. I saw my first green laser at a Foreigner concert in the 80's and I saw that the spot on the wall and it looked really fuzzy, I always wondered why laser light looked fuzzy. I went to the library (Yes the library) no internet back then, and read about lasers and studied more and more about them. I got my first laser from Edmund Scientific and it cost $200.00 for a 5mW 670nm red laser. I still have it too. I have been hooked on lasers ever since. Knowing that light travels at 186,282 mikes per second is mind blowing. I can capture those photons of light with this, my 20-inch telescope:

Long live LASERS and Science!

Would putting a laser through that fck it up? A picture of you doing that would be CRAZY

What do you mean? Mess up the laser or the CD case. Well it definately burns a hole in the CD case in 4 seconds. That is pretty quick for a .5W laser. I'll get some photos of that later and post them.

I meant putting the laser through the telescope

Oh i see...no it won't hurt it at all, the beam will just reflect off of the mirrors and the beam does not change much. A camera flash focused through it is more impressive, I get a 20-inch beam of light that goes for miles. It is neat looking.
