Made another pic.

At the top is the KDX200, then the RmX200, and my CNI150 (170mW).
The KDX200 has the dirtiest output because i ruined the lens by cleaning it with a LensPen.

It actually wasn't this dark in the room, but the beams made the camera reduce the exposure time.

Really? :(

I use a LensPen for my x125 and it works great. But I'm very careful and doesn't use it much. :-/

Is it plastic optics maybe? Those are worthless, I had some bad experience with plastic optics before.

Awesome pics BTW.

Oooh... dirty green goodness... :D Nice work and pix there Igor. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

BTW, I've heard stories of people taking AR coatings right off cheap lenses with Lenspens. I guess you have to be really gentle with them on anything but quality glass lenses.

Nice beam shots though... bright enough to change auto-exposure settings? Sweet.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, it's plastic optics in these lasers. No AR coating from the start. There is an AR coated collimator in the Rominsen, but i think it's scratched as well.
I have a Nova-X75 expander and collimator lens, so i will try using those in my green lazors. That is, if the donor didn't scratch them.

The LensPen might have been contaminated or something. I just lost 4mW off 70 on my prototype Blu Ray because of cleaning the lens.. :( But since i just hit 76mW, this means i'm at 80mW+! ;)

I bought the LensPen (at triple the US price locally) specifically for my >150mW CNI, but now i don't even dare use it. Need to buy a new one.

BTW, i just realized, that all (most likely) of my AixiZ modules came with clear lenses.. I thought some would be AR coated for reds.. I didn't order from DX but AixiZ.

Damn... :(

If it's the expander, i could still use the collimator. I guess i'll see when i finally have some time.

Well, at least i got the driver working, and the driver is what i was most interested in.. I will be able to start on your laser early next week btw..

It's "further away" or maybe "furthest". And you're from the UK for gawd's sake! ;) I'm not...

And that is BAD news. :'( Because that IS the collimator... Did you hate this laser so badly or what?!?
