Re: Post? (Fusion vs Viper ??)

Didn't I post a topic here?
Regarding advise on buying a new laser?
Has it been deleted? moved? why? :-/

OK, I need some help. I have read like 150 forum posts and seen about every movie on Youtube, at first I had almost decided to go for the WL Phoenix 75mw, because of the low divergence (and ability to ignite matches?). But then I discovered cheaper lasers with more mW. So my question is "simple", what laser should I buy, and from where?

The ability to ignite things is very nice but not a must, its almost just as important that the beam has a good range.

These are my options as far as I can see:

WickedLasers Phoenix 75mW (+low divergence)
DestructiveGear Sirius 75mW (-this uses CR123A batteries, they are pretty expensive compared to AA/AAA)
LucentOptics NV-80 100mW (+AA batteries)
NovaLasers X105 105mW (+much juice, cheap | what is different between X series and Alpha series?)
DragonLasers.com Viper 95mW

But I can not read myself to experience, so I'm guessing someone here has a good recommendation, do they all keep they're promises? (possible a referral code so it gets cheaper ::) )

Also can customs be a problem? Are these lasers legal everywhere? Any guarantee for delivery?

Thanks for all help!

PS: If something is unclear ill try to explain it better (I'm Norwegian  )

Re: Post?

2bad...
But I have narrowed my options to:

Dragonlasers.com Viper 95mW
LucentOptics.com Envee NV-80
(never got any feedback regarding DestructiveGear 75mW Sirius)

Simply because these suppliers has the best freight prices and guarantee.

Which is the best?

They are both CNI lasers and will be similar in power, the Envee will have a duty cycle of 5 mins whereas the Viper will be 100 secs.

Re: Post? (Fusion vs Viper ??)

The costs and email response time has lead my to choose the Dragonlasers Viper 95mw.
Just as I was about to place my order I came across this:
phraug.com Fusion Lasers. From what I can gather this is a good laser, but:
Currently we are Out of Stock.
Please Check back around the second week of May.

Hasn't this passed? I cant find the price either?

Should I just "safe it" with the DragonLaser Viper or it the Fusion much better?

I have not personally reviewed the Dragon Viper - but the "Fusion" (Soon to be renamed) is a REALLY nice laser ! I bought one - and I rarely buy any lasers direct from companies - most of my stuff is from other folks - this one is worth the price, and the wait !

I'd wait for the Canadian Fusion, I own one and it simply rocks; if you don't wish to wait, the Envee would then be your best bet.

It should be any day now.....I know he had said that it was going to be two weeks before he got stock, but I believe that it has been two weeks ???

I'll email him again, and also check on the status of the naming contest !!

Re: Post? (Fusion vs Viper ??)

Fusion (phraug.com/lasers) will not guarantee delivery in Norway :( anybody here live in Norway and know the laws on importing this or have any experience with shipping to Norway?

If not Im going for the Dragon laser ::)

Atomic - check Novalasers.com as well - see how they stack up - you may like the selection of accessories better - who knows ?
