I'll post the same thing here.... try using a magnet. OR take the battery cap off and just beat the end of a laser on a desk or something hard until the battery moves down. Unless you really had to 'jam' it in there, which I'm guessing you didn't, it WILL come out with the tapping method. Be as gentle as you can but don't worry about being SUPER SUPER gentle.
And the 'bulge' on the top of the battery is usually a protection circuit.
