Ok I have seen mixed reviews abou the Rayfoss and am now thinking about the O-Like. I had a <5mW E-Gay and worked quite well and gave it to my younger responsible brother

The Rayfoss one I was going to get was this

www.rayfoss.com

but now leaning towards this
100mW transformable green laser/adjustable [OLV6100] - $81.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

they seem to look the same build quality so which one would be more reliable or can anyone point me in the direction of a chaep good quality 100mW greenie for the same price ??

Hi Kookapeli

funny enough I have just received a 100mW green laser from BestOfferBuy.com
$32.90/ £22.78. it was delivered within about a week and a half, was well packed with bubblewrap and came in a tidy box which is kept shut via a couple of magnets.

for the price I was impressed with the solid weighty feel of the alumium shaft and at night the beam is an amazing sight ,it seems to go on for ever! and is very bright with the green line very visable.

unfortunately I dropped mine and cracked the lense(gutted!) so now it has a little line coming off to the side of the main spot. i don't like the button as somthimes when I press it the beam isn't at full brightness of not at all but that maybe because I dropped it!(or could be the contact inside the button not making correctly). .however I would recommend it for a first purchase at that price. I hope this helped.

I've been reading other posts and have read not to buy from that site as the output are inconsistent and the heatsinks etc are poorly made.

it's my second greenie so was wanting something a little better but odn't want to break the bank, thanks anyway :)

O-like has proven to more consistent in quality. I have heard some bad stories about Rayfoss.

I've heard that O-Like quality has gotten spottier recently. I'm not sure about the truth behind that, but the sticky thread about buying your first green laser also says this.

I haven't experienced that - Out of 5 orders from o-Like I had one with a bad lens, which Susie replaced without any trouble. Maybe their QC is a bit more spotty than it used to be, but still I think their reputation and output is still quite a bit better than Rayfoss.

You won't go wrong with either o-like or rayfoss. Both the companies stand-behind their stated output power, and both will exchange the laser for you if you don't like it.
I'm not sure how o-like's warranty is, but rayfoss offers a free 3-month replacement (if it breaks), and free 6-month repair (again, if it breaks).
I would get the Rayfoss one. :D

i'll know about O-likes warrantry policy soon lol, sent them a message asking if there is one with respect to my broken 550mW. Dont mind a reasonable repair fee either, i want my insanely bright green back :( only had it for less than a day before this happened.

Go with o-like man, I've never failed with them 4/4 with good lasers and with rayfoss I have bought 2 lasers and both were extremely underspec, not sure why, but I just may be unlucky with them... Overall in my opinion you can't go wrong with O-like, I see your going for the 100mW, I bought the 200mW version of that, and it works great.

i would put my vote for o-like they respond to emails and just seem to be one of the most professional site around with a lot of products, only laser related for the most part.
