Which laser should I get from here? And do they ship to USA? I was thinking the green RF532-150mW-FLX. Is that a good laser? I might get a red one because I don't wanna spend a lot. What's the difference from green and reds? I heard reds can burn better, so why are they cheaper? o_O

The greens have much better visibility so you will be able to see the full beam on that laser at night. If you want one for burning, get one that can focus. Rayfoss makes good lasers tho. I have 1 from there and I couldn't be happier with it.

Which one would you recommend from rayfoss that is visible and can burn? thanks.

I have a 150mW 532mn and the beam is visible in a lit room and it has plenty of burning/light potential.

Oh...and don't forget safety glasses too!

Im new to lasers but i think The LED light is to show you that the laser is On and is duty cycle is how long it can stay on and how long it needs to cool down

LED's are often used as power indicator lights or warning lights.
This guy has a led indicator light to tell you the laser is armed: www.rayfoss.com

This guy uses LED's as another feature of the laser:
www.rayfoss.com

Duty cycle is the the time the laser can be on to the time the laser has to be off to prevent overheating. Most of the time it will be in a format like 60seconds on 90 seconds although some of rayfoss descriptions on state one number like 60 seconds. With that i would practice either 60/60 or 60/90 depending on the format of the laser.

Hope this helps

Well, I'm probably going to try to get the 150mW, or 200mW green laser from rayfoss, just going to try to find enough money, I'm still pretty young. xD

Just looking through the lasers on rayfoss I would say this one looks good.

Edit: When I ordered my 200mW from rayfoss, they gave me free eye protection! Just another good thing about them.

You can always start out with something that isn't uber powerful. A 75mw or 100mw greenie can still be a lot of fun. Green's are my favorite my far just because how visible the beams and dots are. My 150mw green appears A TON brighter than my 175mw 405nm and my 235mw 650mw. I am sure a 100mw greenie isn't far behind the 150

Please factor in the price for laser saftey glasses. Theres no point getting a 200mw laser and not being able to play with it, because you don't have saftey glasses.

For outdoor viewing of the beam glasses are not needed, but any indoor use and burning, you MUST wear eye protection for these types of lasers.

Please be safe!! -Adrian
