Does anyone know anything about this website.

As far as quality Of their products I know it's a foreign wholesaler site....lol so that kind of says it all but my brother bought this without consulting with me first. It's really nice host but I can almost guarantee it's not 1500mw.......

DHgate Mobile

I was just recently in a group buy for a 100mw waterproof BOB... And it really doesn't seem much brighter than that one... Idk

Thanks

Wholesale - 1 piece wireless 1500mw 532nm rechargeab Green Laser Pointer adjustable pen star burn match pionter

Yeah the title of the page says it all.

I wouldn't trust this laser to reach 500mw and most of it will be IR.

Well, I can tell you that for sure it's not a watt and a half unit, it's the first laser i bought. But the host is really nice with a physical shutter, and key system, and the abillity to focus it. All in all, don't buy it for the power, buyit for the host.

For $100 if your patient you can easily pick up a 200mW 532nm. What your brother got will probably be 100mW if not 50mW. Dhgate is not a good source. Also using a boblaser 100mW as a comparison isn't a good idea either as its probably underspec as well.

If you want a powerful 532nm you need to either buy from a member with a LPM or buy from a reputable dealer like o-like. Better yet save up some dough and buy a real laser that will most likely be overspec from cni.

I wouldn't trust this laser to reach much beyond 100mW, let alone 500mW, let alone 1,500mW. Think about it, if the laser could hit even 500mW, they could sell it AS a 500mW laser, and get $400 + for it.

Since the 1,500 mW rating is already a blatant lie, why would they actually give you a 500 mW, when they'd be just as well off giving you an 80mW? It's way underspec either way, so why would they "cheat you a little bit less", if they could "cheat you a little bit more" ??

Basically their business model is:
"Give them a bright enough laser that it looks stronger than the 50mW crap that 95% of the dummies out there will be using to compare it to"
- So 80mW, 100mW, maybe 125mW are all great candidates for the deception. A host is just a host, they can put the cheapest module they want, inside the biggest bulkiest host on the market ;)

exactly. The whole thing probably only cost them $20 but if they rate it impossibly high can sell it for a lot more and they know full well that the only people who will buy the thing will be people who don't have the equipment to measure the difference. There are only a few cases where cheap lasers from China are not a huge disappointment.
