I'm new here, so I'm not sure if this is where this goes, but if it doesn't, feel free to tell me so.

But I have a question and I figured the best place to ask would be in a forum of laser experts. But my green laser pointer is not working. The batteries seem fine, as there is power, but the green isn't what is I see when I look down in the laser. All I see is a little red light. But the thing is, the laser pointer worked perfectly fine when I first got it. Then after a while, it started getting duller and duller until it completely went out.

I'm not sure what this is, or what's wrong. Is it the bulb or something? Is it fixable?

DO NOT LOOK DOWN THE LASER

THAT LIGHT YOU SEE IS INFRARED LIGHT AND IT IS MUCH BRIGHTER THEN IT LOOKS IT CAN EASILY DAMAGE YOUR EYES.

Seems like the crystal is damaged or misaligned,but I'm not totally sure.

Oh, okay, but can I get it fixed? I don't want to have to throw this one away or purchase a new one.

Green lasers have come down greatly in price, so I'd buy a new one. Crystal alignment is no easy task, if that is truly the problem.

Got a link to who you bought it from?

Like I said, most of the time they are over powered, so dont play with it with your cat, and avoid reflective surfaces like mirrors, glossy tiles, ect.
