Question about 50mW O-Like Green

So I just got it, and I'm wondering which way to put in the battery. Here are the instructions given:

"Never put battery in reverse polarity, the battery "-" towards outside (tailcap)"

So does that mean reverse polarity is when the battery - is towards outside?
Or does it mean that - towards outside is the correct way to place it.

Also I have a charger for the CR2 Battery...do I need to let it charge only a certain amount of time or do can I leave it on past when the light turns green (like if I leave for a few hours or something)

Thanks

The batteries in my O-Like 200mW red follow the same configuration. The negative terminal of the battery faces the tail cap (chassis ground).

**This is my experience only - when in doubt, search more.

'-' should be to the spring for a green. + to the tail

Is this a bare module or in a housing?

"spring" can be misleading. considering that there is a spring on both ends. a spring is present internally and on the tail cap. The location of the spring shall not make one assume the polarity of the device.

*The OP should contact the manufacturer about the polarity of the circuit.

I did finally find a review in which an owner addressed it. There is somewhat of a spring on each side, but the larger spring was the "-". "+" went towards the tail cap.

Thanks guys.

As a general rule, reds are case - , Greens and Blu-Ray's case+
But It's best to be sure.
I have a few 635nm- 650nm pointers that are case +
I hate changing batteries in them,It goes against your instincts.

Also I have a charger for the CR2 Battery...do I need to let it charge only a certain amount of time or do can I leave it on past when the light turns green (like if I leave for a few hours or something)
Do not leave your charger on, unattended:( They have a habit of catching fire, sometimes.

I just received this laser.
So should I put the batteries with the "+" towards the rear as the DX lasers do ?
