Has anybody bought the 200mw green pointer from Qualifound? The price seems right for the mw's. Just wondering if it is a true 200.

Yes, I have ordered a 200mw laser from qualifound: http://qualifound.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=854

I saw it when it first appeared on the site, at that time it was $118, so i snatched it before the price went up to 165...

Now the price seems to be $135, which is still wonderful even if the laser outputs 170mW. (and it uses 18650s :D)

It ships out on Monday so, ill do a review whenever it comes :)

Yup I'm actually inclined to trust them, so far Faona answered all my questions quickly and fully. (with a few grammatical errors :D)

Here is an email that she sent when I asked about the lasers:

Regard your question:
The product QFLP-500-GP, what exactly is the rated power. As you have 500mw written above first picture, 200mw in the description, and i can 100mw written on the laser warning sticker. Do you know the actual output power? Thanks.

Our answer:
For this type we mainly promote 100mW and 200mW power output version.
The picture of my sidte just showing the outlooking of this model. Actually we can do 100mW,200mW and 350mw version based on this design. We ever sold 500mW but the performance is not so good ..The design of power supplier of this type is not suitable for 500mW. So we stopped the produce of 500mW version. And now 350mW is the Max. power output we can do Hot deals is 200mW version this moment ... If you need 100mW we also can do with 105usd/pc (include shipment charge before 6-June-2009) .And the price of 118uusd/pc for 200mW just for market promotion...Sale activities will ceased by the end of this month ...The original price of 200mW is 165usd/pc.

Looking forward your furthern comments...Thank you!

They seem to be really trying to have their products to spec, like rating it 170-200mW, instead of just 200mW like other Chinese companies would. I really think we might have another O-like here.

That plus the large head for sufficient heatsinking, and the fact that it runs on 18650s (the batteries God uses in his greenies) makes me think that it just might be able to pull it of.

Plus the site layout is exactly the same as O-like's. I'd like to buy one of their 50mW red pens.

You know what i find funny about the pic on the site? In the details, for the 200mW laser, look closely at the label's power rating for the first pic... <100mW. :p A lot of sites seem to use pics of one item... for all of the similar ones lol. Lazy :)

Yup, if every laser looks exactly the same, why take different pictures? I guess they could photo shop the stickers on, but it hardly seems worth it...
