problems with my 200 mw rayfoss

Cleaned it with a q tip like they said, to try and get rid of the sparkles around the projected beam point. they wont go away no matter what. Also if i turn my laser on without the collimating lense it shows up on the wall as 2 bright green circles and then after about 5 seconds they come together to make one.

what gives?

a greenie producing two dots instead of one is when it's mode-hopping, I think. Could be caused by the temprature of the laser beeing too cold at first?

Make sure you're very careful with the q-tip cleaning. I'd recommend maybe tearing of the outer-layer of the q-tip to uncover the more softer cotton and use that. (atleast thats what I do).
