Problem with Nova X105 (picture inside)

Ok today I got my first laser (nova x105) and it's really great, except for one thing. It shows alot of tiny green dots around the 'main dot'. It was very hard to capture this on a photo, but I managed to get it right by shining it trough goggles on the wall.

What you see in the picture is me, shining my x105 from 4ft on the wall, trough the goggles (wich are near the wall). You can see where the beam hits the goggles and then the wall.

the reason i put the goggles there is because the brightness of the main dot made the smaller dots invisible on photo. The smaller dots are visible without the goggles there, just not on photo's.

Is this normal? Cause it looks kinda messy. I haven't tried anything yet because I could damage something, but does anyone have an idea what to do about this?

Also it seems to have a flicker in it (even with fresh batteries).

im always scared to poke toothpicks and stuff into the lens of my lasers
if you mess up it could really mess up your laser

lenspen is worth the investment
perfect results everytime

hmm ok, i'll buy one soon then and try it.

besides that, is it normal that it flickers? the green glow that reflects of the dot clearly shows flickering (and thats not because i move the pointer or something). Am I just being picky or should it have the same intensity all the time?

McHank, how's your eyesight? I'm not being a smart you-know-what.
Have a look at:
Wiki_Speckle_Pattern

If the lens(e) is dirty it can have the same effect.

Hmm it seems that the flicker i saw was because the pointer wasnt held perfectly still. so forget about that...

i'll post again after i've tried the lens pen. thanks for the tips!

Ok, since I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to buy a lenspen (wich they probably wont sell anywhere near where I live anyway) so i decided to use a q-tip and lens cleaner. this worked perfectly and now everything works as it should.

thanks everyone for telling me the lens was dirty (I was afraid it might be something serious or something)
