Most of you know about these. Always wished it had more power, but the host looked so cool, I figured I'd be happy for $149.
I should have figured it would be over spec and it is. Topped out at 170, stabilized at 160mw.
The host is every bit as awesome as I thought it would be. Just beautiful. The machining on the titanium is top notch. Focus smooth as butter.
Thanks again to Gray.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Congratulations on your new Ti-B Davidx, I think everyone who has ever purchased a Ti-B has been more than happy with them! It is by far my favorite small host.
One thing to note, be careful of the attack bezel on the front of these, they can be very sharp!
I just picked up the 520nm 50mW (73mW) Ti-B last week, it's also a work of art. These aren't going to be around forever, get em while you can. Go titanium!

No pictures?
On the road traveling. Well, sitting in traffic. Check them out on Jetlasers sight.
No doubt a better photo of it then I can take. :)

Bow tie:
I was thinking the same thing. I doubt they'll be around forever. Kind of seems they are selling off the current inventory. Machining the titanium, cost of the metal, must be quite a bit more then aluminum. I doubt we'll see many more hosts made from the stuff.
Go titanium!

I think I may have one titanium host but it's not the desirable one you guys are talking about. Remember when Len offered a bunch up awhile back but I didn't have the $ at that time:( I'm kind of assuming you bought a brand new one from Jet?

I just looked at them. I'm assuming both the 515 and 532 are in the same exact host. Which one do you like better BTG? Maybe I'll use my Christmas $ on one. Leaning towards the 100mW 532nm as I do have a few 515nm and for such a nice unit I think I would like the much more visible output with the size of that host (and yes I know the 515nm is very visible also).

Hey Pete, yes they are the same host.
Sounds like you'll want to get the 532nm version; I'm sure you will like it, every collection has to have at least one Ti-B in it, especially one as large as yours! :D

So this thread is only you saying you got a Ti-B? Seems a bit pointless to me.

And what makes you think they are selling off their eternity?

FYI they are all nearly gone nor will more be made afaik.

about an equal number liked and disliked the attack crown -I hyave never seen a sharper one.

Some want to soften the edge & I advised then to wait until the warranty had lapsed- BUT now with few left and no plan to make more altering the sharpness would pose no problems. Even altered I would not liked to be poked in the face/chest etc with a Ti-B-- buyers be aware that (soon) none left should you want a replacement.

I found it interesting that compared with Al. copper etc that Titanium makes a poor heat sink and the one inside all Ti-Bs is Al. & small I say 2min on 20 sec off.

One disliked the tail 'switch'
unique AFAIK- impossible to break or fail
& silent-I like it.

Thanks Hakzaw
I was thinking the same thing. If someone is on the fence about getting one, now would be a good time to pull the trigger. I don't know how many Gray has left, but I doubt anymore are being produced.
The tailcap is different. No clickly button. It's actually a good design. Screw it in a bit for on, out a little for off. Silent button for temporary on. Nothing to break.
I didn't know about the Al. heat sink. Thanks for the tip.
I see we both belong to the JL fan club.

Davidx, here is a pic of the Ti-B 532nm module and driver with what little heatsink there actually is, the whole thing is only 16mm in diameter, and the aluminum pieces are only 19mm long.

Wow. That's virtually nothing at all. I'm lucky I didn't cook it when I put it on the LPM!
