Does anyone know why this does not cause permanent eye damage? Is it the range and the way they use the laser to blind the target? Is due to the beam divergence being significantly larger than other beams?

well, if you're properly trained with one of these, like say law enforcement or military, you make the beam unfocused enough and use it far enough away from a person that it shouldn't cause damage, and it's a better way to disable a person than shooting them. however, wicked lasers is being incredibly irresponsible letting anyone buy these, especially when there's a lot of young teenage kids in their userbase, just imagine some of the more arseholish kids from wherever you went to school getting their hands on a 100mW laser that WL tells them is meant for shining in a person's eyes! really it's just an overpriced laser with a focusing lense, and once again, wicked lasers is being horribly, horribly irresponsible by marketing a 100mW laser to shine in a person's eyes, especially at the kids that are some of their customers, and should be ashamed of themselves.

First Off, It is JUST a 95mW Nexus, in a water-proof(yeah well we'll see if someone tests it if it is water-proof or not) case, and a focusable lens(as many can find green 5mWs online with a focusable lens) and those two factors, increase the $ of the Nexus by $300+...
OK Price aside, lets look at thier marketing ploy....when they KNOW they have chased away all thier adult clients(ie:the one's who know better, to ask questions of the products & the questions To ask), and now Know that thier largest consumer has yet to even go through puberty...They market an Item like this Advertized To Blind people.... Now you know children, they think and ~KNOW lol~ that they Know Everything, and ought to be able to use the product as advertized...to Blind thier friends for fun and amusment(and perhaps cars in traffic too)
Sickening...and doubly so if you'd read Members beings chastised for Joking(even putting disclaimers on thier posts, that they were joking) that if an intruder or such broke in, they could fry them with thier WL laser...Only to have posts deleted and be chastized for refering to a laser as a weapon... LOL now theyt Bill thier products As Weapons.. totally Irrisponsible
Now a Vast Magority will read the write up on the PD and Not Look at the focusing feature as a way to put the 'sweet-spot' where you want it, so you might be able to burn at different distances...Many whom read that see only One purpose for the PD....and that is how they Bill it..as a laser whoes Only use/function is to Blind people with...
It would sell just as well or if not better, if they only commented that thay are Military Grade.... not mentioning the Blinding part....but Focused, on its Focusing ability..telling How you can put its sweet spot anywhere down the beam for X-of-a-distance ..Like , "Hey Kiddies, Now you can burn pop and slash at any distance, WithOUT the use of external Lens caps !" and not play up the fact it is supposed to be used to blind people with... totally sickening and downright wrong of them to advertize as such.... Cause most folks with brains KNOW The US Military is not buying lasers from wl.....they have thier OWN REPUTABLE Manufactorers, to which the PD Only slightly resembles
~They Just dont care, because at this point, unless something Drastic occurs, they think/know they have a Monopoly on the Laser industry....or would have many believe so, when in fact the ones who realy corner the laser market are CNI.... but that fact is left obscured from most children with mommy and daddies CC....and thats just how WL likes it...
'Oh your child is blinded for life... thats ok, we're in China..what are you going to do about it' ..seems to be thier motto, on that front.

Which leads me to wonder.... :-? why is it, you canot find 'many' Green lasers above 5mW with a focusable lens... as if you search just a small bit, you can find places that sell green 5mWs with a focusing lens ?
and or.... a different question..is it realy that difficult for someone to manufacter an external len-cap with ajustable(thats the word I was looking for this whole time lol) focus, ei a pre-made collmuator(sp), as we have seem only 'Plans' for such sold ?

but seriously, why does it seem so difficult (not talking about finding it with wl) to find a laser with ajustable focus, as you can find online with Reds and 5mW greens....cause thats realy all they are charging 300+$ for... I already have waterproof cases, I made easily and for free, from extra rubberized tubing from fish-tank filters.... fits like a glove sealed easily and viola...water-proof.... but now ajustable focus.....that seems to be difficult for some resong for folks to either make thier own ajustable external focus....or even find anyone who is selling them..Hrmmm ? :-?

& SERIOUSLY.... they were funny...sort of, at first.... but stop with those disgustingly disturbing pictures(no offence to the 'models' lol), Makes me want to bring yesterdays Breakfst up...
-------> Anyway... yeah, why does it seem impossible to find and external ajustable focusing lens for these lasers .....beyond buying plans for, that will often not work if you cannot find the proper lenses and other tid-bits you need to create one .....or find one premade by any company ? :-?

OK, that aside (those pics realy disturb me ugh), why is it, or are there places that do sell ajustable external focusing caps ? If not, someone ought to...and then the PD would just be Another laser that has an ajustable focus,,,Hence, not that special, hmmm, no ? :-?

Now the pics, while disturbing, if only accomanying a Genuine answer to the questions pose, would be Not as disturbing....but you seem to block questions and discussions with answering....with No answer, other then a giggly-disturbing picture, that frankly, only shows, or seems to show that the Forum member base here are more immature than the pre-teens left at LC
~Now back to the Ajustable focusing lenses, can they be found easily on the web, or much of anywhere by the way ? And or, why does it only seem to be found in greens of 5mW power, or reds ?
