Ok cheers i'll prob order it later! Are these batteries rechargeable that are shown or just long lasting disposable lithium, i guess both would do?

I guess the beam from this would be visible in both night & day & look stunning!

I emailed o-like to ask about customs, so i'll see what they say, although i'd like a look at Rayfoss but the site has been down for ages!!

What shipping method did you use & how long did it take?

I will get goggles for sure :)

Im pretty sure they are both rechargable, the 18650 will be (thats the one my 200mW uses)

You wont be dissapointed, powerful green lasers are amasing IMO, you can see them during the day, but at night outside they really are fantastic...even better in foggy conditions...:D

My laser from rayfoss (and the DX one) took a while to ship, like a few weeks, but to be fair i ordered it on some chinese holiday, so they didnt even ship it for at least a week, lol. It should be quicker for you. Im sure they will be able to give you a rough estimate if you ask. I used standard shipping i think, didnt want to pay any more, lol. It was definatly worth the wait though!

EDIT: there are quite a few reviews of different lasers in the review section (mine is in there somewhere too) and there will be beam shots also. They will give you an idea of beam visibility etc...:)

Yes, i'm considering biting the bullet & ordering it now before i get the reply about what O-Like says about customs!

Are normal batteries like duracell ok to use or would the batteries included have to have a charger that i could buy in uk!! i guess i'll have a look in shops or online as it don't come with one!

Ah, the review section, i couldn't find that, i'll have a look!

you should easily be able to buy a charger if yours doesnt come with one. Your best bet would be to go to a place like maplins and ask about a charger in there, or you could order one online. My laser from rayfoss came with a charger, you might find that they send you one with the laser as it does come with batteries. All you would need would be a 2 pin to 3 pin mains adapter which you can buy in most electrical shops...

Yeh cheers about the charger, i seen a review on that forum & everyone praised it but say it may be below power & yet the 250mW one is over powered!
I'm not sure how underpowered as apparently 'susie' from O-like says they are all above 170, maybe i should wait for reply 1st, which is adequate anyways!

Also they don't have IR filters.

Wll i ordered it Dusty & can't wait lol, i spoke to Susie online & she said it was about 177mW, but i guess thats ample for burning etc & a great beam daytime & night do you think?
I'm not sure if it has an IR lense is it, i assume this is a kinda partial protector!
The divergence thing!, i think i saw your laser in reviews & i'm thinking it starts to burn things, the smaller the dot gets in focusing? & does distance matter as i recall on a small 5mW red laser i had, the dot was the same size be it 20ft away or a hundred!

cheers & happy new year

Cool, nice one! at that power the beam will be visable during the day and night, and as you can focus the beam it will have no trouble burning things either.

The IR filter is not all that important just dont look into the beam etc and all will be good, its just there because the green lasers are DPSS and as a result there can be some IR leakage, where as reds for example are diodes and will not produce any IR.

With my laser if you focus it so at a distance (across the room say) the dot appears large, then the focal point is a few cm in front of the laser, so it is best for burning there, if that makes sense. the focal point is the smallest part of the beam as you said. It should be able to pop balloons for example at a distance. sometimes the divergance isnt the best with these focusable lasers but you will not be dissapointed. Anyway, be sure to post some pics when you get it...

Happy New Year

cheers & the divergence when fully focused out i guess isn't massively more than fully focused & i am thinking i shouldn't use the laser fully focused that much as it will wear stuff out more if that makes sense?, maybe halfway most of the time, maybe a concentrated beam thing! or does it not matter?

Someone had a green laser the other night, i think a small powered one & the area it hit was kinda giving off a big glare as opposed to a red laser i have that is always just a small dot! Would i get just the dot when fully focused as opposed to the glare when focused out!
I can't wait & am just wanting to get the best out of it & not do excessive things that may damage it.

Cheers

I made an unregrettable buy with optotronics 150mw green laser. Jack was a pleasure to do business with. The laser turned out 160mw, and the beam/dot were mesmerizing. If you are looking for sheer burning power, look for a focusable.

Before i found this forum & knew it existed, i posted on a local forum in the technology forum asking about lasers etc & i posted about the 2 UK stores selling the 200mW New Wish lasers for between £55 & £65 & wondered about their authenticity etc & got no reply. Until now! Someone replied saying that TechnologyPlanet have their own factory & thats why they are so cheap!! I'm kinda doubting this as why would a company in York that sells so many other gadgets have a laser factory in China!

The guy said they are genuine 200mW too, but i guess paying that little extra for my green 200mW from O-like, i have a better product thats focusable?, do ya think?
