After seeing all you guys speaking so highly of the Nova X-series I decided to order a CNI >150 from pseudonomen137 to see what all the fuss is about.
Anyway, while I'm waiting on it to arrive I figured I'd buy a few accessories such as a cap set and maybe a dragon case.
So enlighten me.. What are my options as far as end caps / lens holders? I've seen the one that Nova offers, but I don't really like the way it looks with the 3 screws holding the lens.. I've seen another cap set from wickedlasers (and yes I know thats a bad word around here ;D , but I'm just interested in their caps, not lasers) and was curious if it would fit the black & gold CNI lasers? If not, are their any others from other companies availible that will screw on to the CNI/x-series? I don't really care for all the lenses that create effects (lines, dots, etc) I mostly just want a convex lens to focus the beam for more burning power. So whats the best lens for burning that has a focal point thats atleast a few inches away from the laser? Yeah, I know I could just make one from a magnifying glass, but I want something that looks nice too.
How difficult would it be to make a CNI/x-series externally focusable? Anyone ever tried that?
Finally, about the dragon case.. For anyone who has one.. How well do they fit? Are they worth the $10 bucks for protection?
