Hey all, just wondering what some of you might have to say about o-like and rayfoss in reference to GREEN MODULES

I am buying a 100mW green module for a new host i have procured.

i do believe the host is actualy from Rayfoss. but, i would like to know if both companies 100mW modules are the same size, thats about my only concern.

Maybe someone could comment on shipping as well? "i know o-like takes a good while to ship"

Thx in advance guys,

Dark

i have several hosts, the only one i am concerned about is the $16 waterproof torch host from rayfoss.com

It was procured through a customer, and i plan on selling it on the cheap.

The 100mW module has been purchased from 0-like, because i am more fond of susie's constomer service, not to mention we've done much bussiness together.

Thank you for the comments guys, Ecspecialy the LPM link, much apreciated BCM :D

I'm new here, so correct me if I'm wrong. Is there any advantage in buying that host from rayfoss for $18 shipped and then buying the 100mw module from O-like for $64 shipped when you can just buy this 100mw focusable green laser from rayfoss for $80 shipped?

Rayfoss

@elugelab, I was considering the exact same thing you where until I found this focusable one. And after reading about larry's lens mod for the green laser, that seems like a better deal to me.

@elugelab

yes all you need to complete this laser is a module the host and battery. It holds one cr123 battery and you must press fit the module into the host which is a bit tricky, just make sure you align it correctly otherwise you will get wierd shapes around you dot.

@bryce007

There are advantages in regards to customs. Customs in Australia for example will take ANY laser over 5mW that are handheld.. so if your customs are the same then you are able to buy them seperate and make it your self without customs interferring.

@Darkarmyofone

I just bought a 50mW module from o-like and a rayfoss host.. their packaging was extremely good and the shipping time was only 7 days for o-like and 6 days for rayfoss (to Australia)..

I think I used the same host that you are talking about for my 50mW.. it is very good quaity but I am sorry I dont know if these are both the same size..
(but would presume so)
Here is a pic for rayfoss..

as you can see it accepts a 11.92mm module. so if your module is ~12mm you shouldnt have to much problems press fitting it in there... only thing to watch out is your alignment.. when i made my greenie i was out by about 1-2mm and it was giving me all these wierd shapes arounf my dot.. so if that happens just use a vice (or another tool) and try to get it straightened.

Hope that helped -Adrian

I think it is quite the same as Australia, correct me if im wrong, but I think you are alowed to import them as long as they comply with a certain list of saftey features for example key and plug input (to start the current flowing to the laser).. shutter for the end of the laser... momenty switch so you cant leave it on by accident. But like I said I could be wrong...

I think you can find basic info here

Hope that helped -Adrian
