Well has anyone ordered it? It now says 91 units in stock! Two orders in a few weeks? So much for the plethora of orders Susie claimed some posts before. What's going on with O-like these days?

i think they ship the batteries and chargers separately from the lasers. So I wouldn't worry much just yet unless the laser doesn't show up within the next week.

yes i'm thinking customs took it as well,,,as i have ordered from them in the passed and both battery/charger and laser was in the same package

lucky i paid for it with my american express gold card
witch already refunding me my money
let O-like deal with american express
but as fars as me ordering from them again
i'm done with o-like and there games :gun:

Um. If customs confiscated it, please explain how this is O-like's fault? Knowing import laws and restrictions for your country is YOUR responsibility, not theirs. You tried to do something illegal, and somehow it's their fault when things go south?

And FYI.. If customs seized it, you wouldn't have gotten the charger and battery this quickly as well. They *MIGHT* forward the 'legal' goods in the package to you, but they are in no way speedy about it. If customs had touched the battery and charger, you would have gotten them around the same time you got the letter saying they confiscated the laser.. which would be in a few months.

My guess is the laser and batteries/charger shipped separately and the laser will show up in a few days.. You are going to be a good citizen and return it all to o-like when it shows up right? Since you were gracious enough to immediately do a chargeback to them when things didn't happen instantly...

From my experience, O-Like prefers to ship the battery and charger separate from the laser. This is to AVOID customs issues. I've gotten 5-6 lasers from them and every time it has been separate *unless I specified that I wanted them shipped together*.

So, you're probably going to receive a ""free"" laser in a few weeks, and O-Like will be stuck with a chargeback. Not sure how I feel about that. O-Like has been pretty good to us.

yes if i get the laser in a week or month or what ever i will pay for the laser thats not a problem,,,i have a few lasers from o-like and never had any problems in the passed,,and i'm not sticking it to o-like and getting a free laser ,american express protects me from getting ripped off with buyiers insurance so O-like has and still gets the 219.00usd ,,and american express eats the loss if i don't get the laser ,,also i never said it was o-likes fault for customs keeping the laser if thats what happen,,i am done with o-like for the run around they gave me on why my laser took so long to ship,,first stating they waited a few weeks to ship it cause they wanted to send me the newer 400mW 532nm laser then 3 days later saying there out of stock when there website says 93 units ,,,I new the risk involed and thays why i used my american express card

Websites don't always get updated promptly. They might have gotten a shipment of 100 lasers in, but that doesn't mean that every one of those 100 lasers was actually sellable. And it seems like they've had extreme QC issues with these after the initial batch, and they've actually pulled them off their website several times due to issues with the lasers.

I've ordered from o-like a bunch of times. Sometimes they ship with the laser with the battery, sometimes separately. For the cheaper lasers the battery was shipped with it. For the more expensive ones, like the 400mW torch they shipped separately. Actually took a lot longer to get the battery/charger, but I didn't care too much for either battery or charger to complain.

You're a bit quick on the chargeback, but then personally I don't mind ever sticking it amex/banks:eg:

the run around they gave me threw emails with susie is why i'm done with o-like,,
has nothing to do with there lasers at all, the lasers i have from o-like work great and hit the powers they claim with the 405 400mW i have from them peeks well over 400mW and my 532 400mW older style peeks at 495mW thats without a ir filter of course,,
there lasers are very good but the customer service is something i would rather not deal with anymore ,,,but thats just my experience with o_like(susie)

I'm hoping that lazerer.com will replace supplant/replace o-like and rayfoss in my go to cheap laser vendor. I do agree their customer service is a serious pain in the @$$.

I just got my torch in yesterday from O-Like. This is the older style host which is what I ordered and was shipped with batt and charger together. A quick test on my meter shows a solid 400mw with peaks over 430 which is nice. beam quality looks good and the focus adjustment actually works pretty well, very bright for a medium size host. I will do a chart test later today but so far I am pretty happy with it.
