I think it is probably more of a matter of opinion. Both lasers are equally as good, with each having its own advantages over the other. The transformable has the advantage of being transformable (lol), a "tighter" focusing ring (as reported by people with both lasers). While the "cute" has the advantage of having a clicky button instead of a momentary button like the transformable has. Also, I do not know the duty cycle of the cute but I do know the transformable has a "recommended" 60 second on and 2-3 minute off duty cycle (though, not sure how rigorous this really needs to be followed)

I asked Susie about it awhile ago. She said the focus will be a little better on the transformable green. Also the transformable green can last more than twice as long on a 18650 battery than cr123 and you can choose between which it uses. I have had problems with the cute laser focus (it was too loose but I fixed it - it was my red cute: see review in my sig) and everyone who has put up a review of the transformable one has said great things about it. I would personally go for the transformable one but it all comes down to personal preference. The cute has a click-on/click-off tail cap button while the transformable has a momentary on button. I can also say that the cute host is very sturdy and is very small (again see my review of the red laser for sizes and such).
