I was wondering, do these high powered CNI appearing pointers have a potted diode, or are they an actual high output diode designed to run at that level? My seven year old potted Leadlight finally took a dump, and I'm looking at the NL because I've always preferred CNI.

thanks in advance!

I don't know how correct the "potted diode"(maybe overdriven diode) term is, but I'm pretty sure with all the positive feedback nova is getting around here all the NOVAlasers laserpointers and handheld lasers are top quality and have high powered pump diodes that are designed to run at that level.

I'm also pretty sure that every member of this forum that owns a nova X-series would recomend it.

I don't personaly own one, but from what I've been reading, the X-series is THEE high powered pointer to buy ;)

Really for the price it costs to upgrade it to the next one which is like $30 dolors i realy wouldnt risk pot modding it and losing out on the 3 month warenty they give, although im sure they are quality so they might be able to handle more power.

...lazer... ;D ;D ;D
