Hello all,

Like the title states, im kinda new to lasers. Ive had a >5mw for a few yers now and i LOVE IT! But now I think Im ready to upgrade. I want something that can do all the usual tricks, lighting matches, cut electrical tape, etc. But what im most interested in is beam brightness, something that looks very solid in a lit room. So after creeping around on LPforums for a few days I think I want one thats 200mw-300mw.

Ive been shopping online and it looks like i can build one for half of what one would cost to buy one. Ive looked at all the 'so you want to build a laser' threads, its all allot to take in, so many different options. ideally, I would like is a "buy this stuff and put it together" thread.

Im pretty good with electronics, soldering, wiring, schematics, etc. So I know I can do this.

That being said, anybody have any favorite parts (diodes, drivers, etc.) that would be compatible with each other? Or a list of 'buy this, it will work' kind of stuff?

Thanks, matt z

Well if you want to build a Green Laser... you will need to do
a bit more reading by the (diodes, drivers, etc.) you posted
above...
Read up on DPSS Lasers... and see how green Lasers actually
work...

Yes many options are available in the BST & PRO Shop areas. All I can suggest is to find the style of Host You want first, and then select Your green Module based off That.

Yeah, i know green laser pointers use a module (i just put drivers and diodes because im not set on green, blue or violet would be cool too). The most powerful o-like module is only 150mw, and they are out of stock. What are people using that make the really powerful green lasers?
