Howdy all, as you can see I'm new here so this may be in the wrong place. For that I apologize.

Now then,I've been a fan of lasers most of my life, however recently I started getting into the world of more powerful lasers. I received my Spyder 3 inferno 750 mw a few weeks back and loved it. Now just today I finished my first DIY. Made the Cree c6 1W blue build you see floating around. Now I'm hooked and want to put together a green laser. I have some eBay / Amazon ones, but I want to go further.

Any advice about what parts to get for a still rather beginner would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Laser diode, driver, heatsink, host to put the parts in and a power source. You can read up on those needed parts more with the search function "LPF Search"

Your first post should be in the welcome area where you can tell us a little about yourself, and please fill out your profile a little more with at least your age and location. Few people will bother to try to give you advice on parts or other supplies if they don't even know what country your in.

Well you can't really build a green laser, as much as it's just "assembling" it.

They're not made just from diodes, rather from a diode + a combination of crystals, known as "DPSS" laser setup, and it's brutally difficult to get that done at home, if not impossible.

You can really only buy a complete DPSS module and just install that in a heatsink and all that in a host.

Alternatively you can go with direct green 520nm diodes, but those are still on high end, in terms of prices.

Anyhow, take a look here, see what you like:

Definitely your only option as Eudaimonium said is to use the 520nm diodes for your build.

I suppose I should have added a few more details as I did mean to say assemble. My mistake. (I've updated my information too)

Well if that's the case, you'll want to pick up a green module off eBay.

[shameless self-advertisement]
You can pick up a heatsink from my shop, and matching host from GearBest or DX (and a few other sites).

No problem, you can let me know if you need any help with anything, instead of starting new threads, some people around here dislike that.
