Meh, if she really hates me enough to continue ignoring my emails after this, I'll just tell her that I'm a member of LPF and it won't do her reputation any good. I was very polite in the first eleventybillion emails I sent. Now I'm ready to tell her off.

As for the batteries, I still don't really feel like that's what the issue is. Even though it's been a month since I've tried charging them, the laser still works exactly like it did a month ago. If the batteries weren't charging, surely they would be dead by now since I've had the laser on so much.

hmm...looks like you took the revealing route except you didnt apologize that you threatened her. lets hope she helps you with your situation. you gave her your order number, she she will definitely find out who u are. at the same time, shes going to find out you're using another email to get in contact.

dude.. DONT TELL HER OFF....do not. just tell her you're a member of the LPF. and that you have read about how great her services are, and that it would be great if she could help you. trust me..take the positive road. i bet you, if you tell her off saying that she's not doing her rep any good, she probably won't give a crap and not help you at ALL. in fact, it's making US look bad..if you mention that you read about her great services and you would like your laser to be fixed/etc...chances of her helping are much higher. just sayin.

honestly though, if you tell her off mentioning lpf, you're making us look bad. the next time she comes across another customer mentioning lpf, she'll remember your threatening ways.

It is most likely that the laser itself is flawed, but I like to take the approach of eliminating all other possibilities. To be honest, I would have done that a long time ago just to be sure. You never know.

Last night I discovered a battery among my 18650's that just doesn't charge, or charges very little. If I using it in a laser provides a dot for 1-2 seconds that very rapidly loses power and dies.

Apologize for what? I ordered a laser, got a bill for it, paid it, and then waited a week. I got no tracking number so I sent an email. No response so I sent another email. And then another email. After two weeks I got fed up and sent her an email saying that if I didn't get a tracking number I'd file a dispute. I got a tracking number a few hours later.

Don't worry, I'm not actually going to do anything of the sort. I'm just a little angry and was letting off some steam.

Never tried that many, just tossed the battery, but I did try battery in two lasers, so 8-10 times it did.

Yea apparently this whole thing was a big misunderstanding. I asked her about the other emails I sent and she said she never got them, which is strange because she got other emails that I sent from that address.

Annnnyway we're in contact now and everything is gonna be ok I think. She asked me to send it back and they'll inspect it. I think the next time I buy a laser though, it'll be from an LPF member. Maybe I'll get one of those Survival Lasers.

Really. Your description in the OP (orig post) sounds like a dead battery. I think your charger never charged either of the batteries at all (faulty charger). :yabbmad: and, yes, the bright-dim would happen 30-40 times on a virtually dead battery with a working laser, there was just enough juice left over to power the laser for a second, then when the battery settles it can do it again.

You really should be absolutely sure that it is the laser that is at fault before you spend the money on shipping to China. :thinking:
Why not just buy a non-rechargeable CR123 and try it out with the short barrel extension? They are about $5-7 wherever you buy camera batteries.

Is a CR123 the same as a 16340?

cr123 is slightly different from the 16340?

16340-cr123

"A battery labeled 16340 is generally 3.7 volts, while a battery labeled cr123 (or variations thereof) can be either 3.0, 3.6 or 3.7.

NOTE: An unprotected 3.0v battery shouldn't be charged in a 3.7v charger. "

If you get a photo lithium CR123, it should be 3.7v.
It will fit as it is the exact same size as your rechargeable 16340.
