New Rayfoss 350mw laser dimmed after minutes

I have heard really good things about Rayfoss in the past, and this week I was going to buy a 200mW focusable laser from them. This one:

But now, after hearing these stories about Rayfoss, would it even be a good idea to order one?
By the way Alpertuner, have you gotten any response at all from Faona since you ordered the laser?

China is on holiday AGAIN! Man they really slow stuff down with all the holidays. But after the 4th they should start responding again. If not there is always paypal dispute. But she should fix it, im guessing though. And they may have started getting units from a crappyer supplier now.

Yeah I got but since 28th April(the date that she gave me tracking number for parcel) I didnt get any response from her:(
I cannot explain how much I am disappointed...
I waited 15 days to arrive here and then first time it was really nice bright and good.
However after using it for 3-4 times(i obeyed duty cycle all the time) its became 5-10mw laser...
I was planning to have fun with it this night(its night at here atm) but im trying to find solution to it...
Now I will wait a reply from Faona and pay 2xcargo bill to DHL(send and return) about 60-70 usd total for faster shipping and I will pray to God that they will send a good unit this time...
You know what I really feel bad now............
Btw Faona was really good to me.I think because of that china holiday she cant respond.I just mean Im really disappointed after the days of waiting for it and not getting what I want but I trust Faona.Hopefully she will send a good and quality checked unit this time.

I hope everything turns out for the best for you, as things should fine after the 4th. Make a post as to how the situation turns out; I am still determining if I want to buy a Rayfoss laser.

I already did that.Sent an email and message to her msn and waiting for reply.
Well about that.I researched for months to decide which laser and which company.
As I heard on the forum Rayfoss is the most trustable cheap-priced laser company out there.So if you dont want to spend 500usd for 200mw laser you have no choice.Faona is really helpful and she customized the laser as I want.Its power button was yellow she made it silver and added nice blue status light to laser and made beam straight with the aperture.I just disappointed after the loooong waiting thats all.Im sure that she will replace my laser.I dont want refund because there is no company that you can buy 350mw laser for 355usd and good customer service 3-6 months warranty etc.

I think for the time being, until this and the other threads are straightend out, people should look to other options like o-like or ledshoppe.

Thanks for you support to us.Faona will surely replace or refund us after this.I hope they replace my laser becuase its really nice one its host really so cool and its one of the most expensive lasers on rayfoss.

UPDATE:Laser stopped working I can only barely see a infrared dot on the camera when i point to wall.

very odd, It doesn't look like the crystals are misaligned. I think the coating of the crystals was burned off or something. How bright is the dot in the camera?

The dot on the camera is barely visible on camera very tiny and low powered.

Yeah I know but it doesn't emits any light anymore :(
It just emits a tiny infrared dot which can be barely seen on the camera.I will post it's pics.

low voltage in the batts can make the laser output only a small amount of ir. i know this because when the batteries were going dead on my green module, the only thing i could see was a dim red dot and no green, but when i recharged the batteries.... bingo! it was green again. so i have a hunch its just the batteries, what does it run off, 18650?

It is very possible it is the batts, but more likely its the laser, especially since so many others are having similar problems...

Sounds like the 808 LED'd.
They have a warranty. Just email Faona this evening, and she will respond during China business hours.

I ordered from them yesterday afternoon, and by 10:00PM (California) I received a confirmation email from Faona, and she answered a few additional questions I had asked. So I know she's around and answering emails, I just think she is really busy right now.
Patience. :whistle:
