It's like their blue lasers. They're just stating that it's diode pumped, albeit in an odd way.

Interesting... Look's very similar to all their other modules. The "diode" part was most likely a typo or mistranslation from Chinese. At least that what I think...

So, which module do you think is better? This one or the other one for a few bucks more?

I would definitely say there other ones. There weren't a lot of tests done of these new ones but they just look too much like the DX ones.

EDIT: Proto beat me to it.

It looses something in the translation...

I'm 100% sure that Susie means to say.....
200mW Green Module using IR Laser Diode

BTW... here chart was produced by her Deluxe LaserBee I PC Software

Lol where have you guys been...

That modules been out for a couple of months now, its supposedly the same as the DX crap 200's. Go for the old style (normal brass, non-threaded) modules and you'll have at least some chance of it performing near 200mW.

I just got my order of two of these new style 200mw green modules. I ordered them a day or so before the old modules showed back up or I would have gotten them instead. Its a mixed bag for me, one works great, and the other lasted about 10 seconds. I powered each of them with a single cr123a primary. The first one tested at peak of 203mW and settled in at about 198mW on my laserbee I so I was very pleased. The other one never made it to the test, it came on bright and immediately faded away to nothing. I checked with my video cam and I can see that the IR diode still comes on, but theres no green coming out of it. If I can exchange it I will, or maybe pay the difference to get one of the old style modules to test.

That is a very good performance. From what I read about them, I doubt you would get more power from an old module.

As for the other one, I would definitely exchange it. The old style costs more because shipping is already incorporated into the price. I don't think you have to pay the difference.
