Hello everyone,

I'm Adam, and I'm very new to the forum. I live in New York and my life revolves around music, music, and music. For my last birthday, I received a decent amount of money and I'm looking to put some towards a new laser. For several years, I've had a skimpy 5mw red laser and I thought its about time I upgrade.

I'm looking for a green laser that I could use to point at stars and/or burn things. I'm not looking for a 300mw plastic melting death ray, just something around the 50mw range (like lighting matches). I'm also not looking to spend a crazy amount of money, so something in the $30-50 range would most likely suffice, if possible. I also know eye protection is important, and I'm looking into that too, so don't worry.

I did find this Rayfoss flx (www.rayfoss.com) which looks like a good deal, but I'm not so sure about the website. There's so many! It seems like each site can get mixed reviews. I just need to find a laser fitting the criteria that also comes from a reliable website. If anyone can give me some help, I'd be very grateful.

laserbtb.com

Very reliable with high quality lasers.

LP 515nm 532nm 1-150

The 80mw pointer fits your budget. Make sure to get glasses.

Yes and Rayfoss in Not very reliable

Hope this helps

I looked at the link you provided and have about 80.00 to spend myself and am looking for a decent compact green burning laser. I have looked through all the ebay junk and just cant bring myself to trust any of them on there.

I am on sure on the lasertb.com page you linked to about the difference between these two:

515nm 50mW diode emitting directly $ 73.80

and

pointer 150mW $ 78.72

Which one of the two would be better for burning things for fun?

Thanks in advance.
