Hi,

I always wanted to buy a green laser after my first cheap chinese red laser i got when i was a kid, so i searched on ebay and found one, an Aurora Series 150mW Green laser,
Aurora Series 150mW Green Laser Pointer :: Dragon Lasers

i read that its discontinued and i guess im dumb for buying it, before researching more about lasers.

but i now have the laser and notice its very powerfull, i also read that i need to buy some special laser glasses which i dont have.

plus the seller said that im supposed to use it 2 mins ON and 1 min OFF cause thats the way to use this kind of lasers, also that a new CR2 battery should give me a 10 to 15 min laser action.

how accurate is this info?
can you refer me to some information about care and safety using a laser?

im not sure if 150mW is alot and also dont know if the lasers output is that considering how old it is, but it burns plastic and paper, so im sure its very powerful.

Any help to be a responsible owner of a laser would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

Alex E.:thanks:

Yep !.. Thats a good laser but i think that it its a bittoo overpriced with all the options that we have now a days.., yes you need special laser goggles ( not that expensive),yes use it for a bit of time then turn it off and take out the battery ( so in that way you are not allowing the lectron flow trough the circuit, even if the switch is off the current will continue its path and the batterie will have a shorter life), if you do that you can probably get around3 days of battery life..(if u use it quite a lot of time in a day),150mw its enaught for a first green laser, (i have a 100mw one and i can pop balloons, burn matches, cut electrical tape and all that crazy stuff, and yes the beam is very bright at night and impresses anyone who sees it :D lol) be safe and have fun ..
