Hi guys, I am new to these green laser pointer pens. I wanted one for a while but now I have bought two different laser pointers my first laser was one of those cheepy 5mW Red keychain lasers you get from local fairs and such but I went on ebay and I bought this ---> Stylish 5mW 5 mW 532nm Green Beam Laser Pointer Pen - eBay (item 220417820995 end time Aug-17-09 06:31:23 PDT)

Then I wanted a 30mW Laser with those kaleidoscopic lens and can pop black balloons so I bought this --> 30mW Green Laser Pointer Pen (Black) $14.62 - Free Shipping (I've heard from some people that focalprice was a horrible place to shop but that was after I bought this and they told me they already shipped my purchase and some people have gotten lasers from them no problem) So I have to wait about a week or more for them to arrive. I'm just asking if you guys think this is a good deal? (I kinda am suspicious about the focalprice laser i got)

A general rule is: you get what you pay for. Although many members have found some real gems at very reasonable prices. o-like, rayfoss, DX(non US customer), and focalprice. I would say you did not over pay for those lasers but I promise that you will be looking for more power very soon. I would personally suggest a jayrob green laser DIY kit. They are very simple to assemble and are priced very fair. It is a great beginners projecct that may help you get your "feet wet" in the hobby.
