That looks pretty nice. And it's cheaper than the DX True 30 so I'll just wait for your review and if there aren't too many cons I'm gonna buy it too :p

well its made by Romisen. and the Romisen flashlight 30mW from DX got excellent reviews. aparently it can peak 43mWs.
so lets hope they use the same diode, i look forward to it.
here's the link to that one:

there is also a review for that laser here on the forum:

If this thing is up to spec it will make the true 30 look like trash. It can use rechargeable lithium 123A cells and it is a lot smaller. It's even $4 cheaper than the true 30. I just had to buy 2 of them. Currently in packaging.

lol to me the true lasers already are like trash. the casing is weak and the heatsink (if there even is one??) is terrible, overheats imediatly and the laser dims.

I take it this laser is a bit thicker since it uses a cr123a, rather than a thin AAA battery. that's good.

i wish it had a clicky button but o well.

lol you ordered 2? well i dont blame you, the price is amazing.

At that price you really can't go wrong. I pay more to fill my car with gas.

Hmm

The pic seems to show the head is smaller diameter then the battery area. I wonder if its not just the same guts in a new "wine bottle" shaped tube to allow room for the cr123 battery?

Hope it turns out to be a decent product!

I just noticed your avatar text :(

I have a rock solid modified laserglow galileo that I purchased from scopeguy20

He adjusted it to ~25 mW and its very cool. The beam is visible in the sky to reach stars (not really, but you can point all the way to them) and it never gets warm.

If your unhappy with your DX 30, contact scopeguy20 and I bet he can fix you up with a solid reliable green.

Here is a link to the makers site, scope can probably buy one and pre tweak it for you.

But if you look at the product, you can tell its a solid laser and not a pen size pointer.

His pricing is great and rivals the actual laserglow price. I am not sure if he waits for several and buys in bulk or simply has a nice deal with them.

yes i like the solid lasers and flashlight case lasers. i hate pen style, break way to easily and overheat.

you know, i do like this laser youve linked me, but 5mW, i do want to burn with my laser too.
you say its very bright, but according to the site only 3-5mW? how can this be? unless its pot modded...
also, i would like to use my laser for burning as well..

haha yes u noticed my avatar text, i have some sad stories here on the forum, lol.

Well it can be tweaked to 30mW. If you use a external lens to focus the beam it will burn stuff. The dot can be made more pinpoint via a external lens. I am not claiming this to be a "burner" but compared to cheaper lasers it is much more solid and disipates heat better. Obviously at ~80$ its not in the range of a burner without assistance but it will hold up to greater on times then a over tweaked pen laser.

If your sole purpose is to burn stuff without external optics, a solid laser will cost more but last longer. I like this one because its small and amazing outside. I am hesitant to show off burning lasers to anyone in person unless I have glasses for them too. So I enjoy using it outdoors with friends and indoors I use optics with it or revert to my DIY reds for experiments.
