I have an NDB7875 I can put it side by side with right now. I'm ordering a 7475 today, but I think I'll have to send the 01T off before I receive the 7475.

That would be great. To my knowledge the 7875 and 7475 have nearly the same size emitters.

I've actually got an NDG7475 and another NUGM01T shipping today, so I can provide side by side comparisons in a few days. :D

Props for testing. Can't REP you again yet:(
By the way, if you hadn't noticed Jordan has a new 515nm diode but no testing yet.

You guys are very welcome. I love my new(ish) hobby. If I was a billionaire, I would sit around and test every laser diode we have. :)

I saw the new diode, looks very similar to the PL520, just 5nm shorter in wavelength? I doubt I'll be able to see a difference in such a small wavelength shift.

My 7475 and 01T will be arriving today, so I will be able to give a more accurate comparison in divergence as well as another 01T sample for power output. I measured my 01T once I got it built into a host, and I got slightly lower numbers. The longer axis was around 19mm. I will be able to do a 10m measurement tonight since I have it built into a portable host now. Check back tonight or early tomorrow morning for more data. :D

So the measurements I've taken so far are as follows:
5 Meters
• G2 - 5.25mm x 21.5mm
• 3-Element - 2.8mm x 9.9mm

10 Meters
• G2 - 8.25mm x 36.35mm

I will measure with a 3-element at 10 meters tonight. Do these 10 meter numbers seem accurate based on my initial 5 meter measurements? How does this compare with the 7475 at 10 meters?

By the way, I created a thread for the first NUGM01T build here:

I don't have either diode, but those numbers mean about 3mrad on the fast axis, which is as expected.

Awesome. Looks the same as the 7475. Looks like a really good value for a watt of green.

Wait, I don't know the stats for the 7475, is this NUGM's divergence better or worse?

I should be able to let you know tonight. I've got both diodes on hand now. I'm hoping that first one was a low output one and that we see some higher numbers out of these. If not, 1.3 watts of 520nm+ is still amazingly bright. :)

Woohoo! Thank you for your service. Reaaaally hoping the nugmoit's divergence is at least at par with the 7475, I'd rather have better divergence than higher output power, at least so long as it's in the class IV range.
