Ok just in case you didn't know it, Singapore is an independent country, here is the history of its existence:

- Kingdom of Singapura 1299
- Malacca Sultanate 1400
- Johor Sultanate 1528
- British colonisation 6 February 1819
- Self-government 3 June 1959
- Independence from the United Kingdom 31 August 1963
- Merger with Malaysia 16 September 1963
- Expulsion from Malaysia 9 August 1965

So they have been independent for 50 years now.

Alan

Your welcome, I am already old and probably won't live long due to health problems, fortunately my memory is still good most of the time.

You should edit your profile and add your location as Singapore so it shows under your name, otherwise no one will remember that's where you're from.

If you're sure of that then throw that battery away, it would be dangerous to even try to charge it. They charge to 4.2V even though on the battery it says 3.7V, if i remember right they can only be discharged down to 2.5V. Always be sure to charge new ones before use, they normally ship uncharged.

Hi, was new to forums, hence, I did not really know how to use the systems. Hehe :p

I'll head to the Fstoplight as marcus had mentioned to take a look. Is my charger safe as well? I'm afraid it would explode.... :can:

Wow Alan, you're impressive! Me being a Singaporean I didn't really went that in-depth to research what we were during 1299... :worthy:

It's around $35 usd

Are you sure you are measuring it correctly? Like what Pi said, if you are, that battery is dead. You can get new batteries from genuine 18650 batteries from Fstoplight. It's near nex

Yes, I took YouTube as reference to see if I did measured correctly. As my multimeter can only measure V (AC) and V (DC), I tried both. V(AC) is only 0.100+ mV? whereas V (DC) is 0.500 mV...

Either way, can't be wrong right?

I'll head down to the shop and take a look! Thanks!

Those 303/301 lasers always come with crappy batteries. No supprise your measuring .5v. As soon you put a load on it it should start to fluctuate explaining the inconsistent readings.

When you drain a lithium cell past 3V its bad for the cell. Past 2.5v means irreversible damage. At 0.5v its pretty much useless. Dont bother putting it back in the cheap charger either. I highly recommend ditching the charger aswell. I had one melt while charging and now I use a real charger. Get the Sony VTC4 or VTC5 if you have money to burn. Those are my favorite batteries.

The laser is fine. Its your battery that is dead. The 303 lasers dont die if you reverse polarity.. or least mine didn't.

Saw this nitecore charger brands at FStopLighting today. Maybe I'll consider it when I get another laser… Probably not in the due time, because of financial constraints.

Yeah… Probably the time that I had left aside has caused the battery to deteriorate and eventually die off. :undecided:

I went to the FStopLighting to try out the various 18650 batteries. Apparently, the owner has given me different types of batteries, Flat, with the Tip one which i had also.. But my laser didn't beam or anything… I think its already dead… :yabbem: Is it possible to fix the laser? :undecided:
