Need help removing a module from a green pen

So I have this "50mW" pen (seems more like 30-40mW though) I bought a long time ago and I'm trying to get the module out to possibly use in a cheap build in the future. However, it seems like it's constructed differently than most pens. The lens is pretty scratched up, so I don't care if that gets damaged when I remove it. Don't need the host either (it's already scratched up from my failed attempts anyway )
Almost certain the laser is still working, since it turned on fine before I accidentally ripped the spring out messing around with it. Everything inside seems intact. Here's some pictures, if you need any other information/pictures, let me know. Thanks in advance
TL;DR: How do I get this thing out?







(Offtopic- I'm really impressed with how the first picture turned out, considering these were all done without preparation using my phone. I've been told I should be a photographer a couple times...)

Most of these modules are either press fit in to the host or screwed in if the host is threaded. I don't see any threads so this may be a pressed in module. They can be a bitch to remove. Last time I had to do it I cut a slit down the side of the host and then peeled it apart with pliers until it was no longer tight on the module, then wiggled the module out.

I was worried someone would say that >.<
I'll bring it to school tomorrow and see if the welding teacher can do anything about it, but if he can't then hopefully someone else can come up with a solution.
