Hi
Been working on this one for a while, many changes were made to final build,

Originally was going to use Blackbuck 8 but its pot was a little to tall and couldn't fit anywhere else so had to scrap adjustable and go with SXD, I decided on 2.2a I realise this is a little high for this diode but the usual 1.8a seemed boring at the time, I latter decided to even out the weight of the bottom end with a custom brass focus nob, really glad I did It just looks marvellous, A small angel eye with wite led just looks awesome and my usual stainless steel safety switch machined to fit the brass end cap like a glove,

With this diode there is no better option then a 2 element glass AR coated lens, the beam can be focused to a very decent looking dot with little to no splash,

A quick LPM showed 700mw but the IMRs I'm using have not been recharged for a long time.

I agree with you, that brass focus adjuster adds balance, both literal and visual; I like reading your build threads, you can really see the TLC that you put in your projects, in both fit and finish!
I bet with some fully charged cells you'll probably see closer to 1W from this baby.

Hi BBB.
Nice job and a high polish , really like the C360 focus adapter when polished it shines like gold buddy.. Great choice of diode and an SXD driver. I will have to try the 2E lens on my greens to check out the dot difference . great work as always .. + REP...

very nice and beautiful build!!i was about to mention also that the output mw was abit lower than expected for the current you driving it maybe with fully charged batteries will go higher as BowtieGuy also mentioned.

again you did great job on the quality hope you enjoy it :)

Another great looking build, Billy. I'm surprised at the power using a 2.2 amp SXD driver. Could be the lens, though. Very Nice, indeed. +rep.

Nice build. Looks like the NUGM02 has a good price point. Might have to pick some up. I'll take two 700mw diodes over one 1.5w in 520 flavor. It's not a drag race right. +rep if it lets me.
Edit: No idea why I thought it was the NUGM02 in this laser.

Hi guys,

wow thanks so much for all your encourageing comments really appreciate them a lot, a lot of you were concerned about the low power test I did with uncharged IMRs, I did mention they had not been charged for a while, Today I grabbed a charged pair of some cheap 16340 cells for a second test at least until I charge the IMRs, and I'm happy to inform you all that on these cheap China cells I'm seeing just under 1w, I thought I would add a quick video also, Thanks,

That's great! I was afraid it was the two element lens, so I'm glad to see it didn't hurt your power that much, after all.

Geez your quick Bob, I know your very happy with the 5w pen because I'm missing it a lot,
You definitely got a buity there and for a great price I must say,

I do prefer blue over green though witch is one reason I'm selling this new build but gee is it also a great laser,

I can swap the 2element for a G2 also if buyer prefers witch will push it nicely over 1w but
The beam is so awesome with the 2 element it can focus to a dot with a quarter turn of the brass focus nob,
