After contemplating spending the $$$ on a focusable green laser from China, I finally decided to pull the trigger. After about two weeks it arrived in the mail. I used it literally twice and all the sudden the green laser beam completely disappeared while I was using it. I figured the battery needed to be charged but after letting it charge I pressed the button and nothing (although the blue LED light always turns on). After e-mailing Faona multiple times over the past week, I have yet to hear a response. Can anyone on this forum help point me in the right direction or let me know what might most likely is going on with my defective Rayfoss green laser? If there is anyone on here that repairs lasers, I would be happy to pay you to fix if necessary. I don't mean to post a boring thread but if this laser wasn't close to $200.00 and didn't potentially die after the second time I used it I wouldn't bother you all with this post. I appreciate any feedback you have.

what is the operating voltage of the laser and what is the voltage of the rechargeable batteries?

i am no expert and new to the forums but, if you used it twice, and it doesnt work, rayfoss should help you out. dont they have a good return policy?

Warranty 3 month Exchange/Refund (See details from FAQ) 6 month Exchange/Repair( See details from FAQ)
FAQ:
Q:What is the details of Warranty?
A:In 3 Month=>For any quality issue happened in the first 3 month after you received the item Rayfoss would repair and exchange new one for you in charge free. Under this term Rayfoss will bear the re-shipping fee and buyer needs bear the return shipping. If the quality issue is caused by user's improperly operation Rayfoss will charge on main replaced components.
A:In 6 month=>For any quality issue happened in the first 6 month after you received the item Rayfoss would repair and fix it and only charger on the main components cost.
Under this term buyer needs bear both way shipping.

Just wait before you attempt repairs greens are horribly difficult to repair
its got a warranty so besides a little more shipping and waiting youll be fine

I would contact Faona, and tell her the problem and what you have done to troubleshoot. Remenber, these are mass-produced lasers from China, not every model is going to be perfect, sometimes there is a short or bad resistor or component on the board. It is probably worth your extra money to exchange the item for a new one, but remember, pay for a tracking number. It's worth it.

and the safety key in the back end is switched to "on" (GREEN .)?

If Faona would answer just one of the e-mails I sent her I wouldn't of started this post. Unfortunately, I think I got ripped off by Rayfoss. I even called Pay Pal to see if they could help resolve this and since the transaction wasn't through eBay I have no buyer protection. I guess this is an expensive lesson learned. Although the sale of this laser pointer is kind of a black market purchase, Rayfoss should be responsible and do the right thing by holding up to their end of the deal instead of lacking any business ethics whatsoever.

EI'VE heard really good things about rayfoss, I wouldn't say you got ripped off. However, I recently ordered a laser from faona, and she always responded promptly, sometimes within the hour. However, I emailed her a few more questions about a week ago, and haven't got a reply. So maybe she's taking some personal days?..or maybe other troubles. But I doubt you got ripped off..I've heard no stories about Rayfoss ripping someone off.

I got an email back from Faona just 3 days ago... Not sure why she isn't responding to some people.

Are you sure your batteries and charger are good? It sounds like they are not up to par to me. If you have a multimeter tell us what the voltage reads on the batteries when they are right off of the charger after a full charge cycle.

Ya. I think you're jumping the gun a little. Saying they "lack business ethics" because you are impatient. :tsk: Give her a little time.
Try an alternate way of getting in touch during business hours in China, like MSN messenger?
Her MSN is the same as her email: rayfoss.com@hotmail.com
Have you even tried emailing their parent company, Qualifound?:
qualifound@hotmail.com
You could even try to call them: Tel & Fax :0086-755-81797956 or 24 hours Hotline:0086-15012981659
In almost a year of getting lasers from them, they haven't let me down once. :bday:
