Protective Glasses?

I have just got a laser online. It is a green laser pointer with a wavelength of 532nm +- 10. and a power output of <5mw. i was wondering if I would need to purchase protective eye wear for this class three laser? I need to know whether or not the specs on what and if I need to buy them. I am doing a laser maze experiment for fun with some mirrors. Please Help!

Re: My C6 532nm Laser

Yes those are the ones that i got. the nice thing was that they also come with a case which is kinda handy. also don't pay for upgraded shipping because they screwed that up on my and ebay had to refund me because they sent it with the free option even though i paid the extra fee. but all in all a good company and very good quality glasses.

And usally those green pens like in the link are much more power then 5mw i've seen some meter 30-100mw+ i've gotten like 5 or 6 and the most powerful one i've gotten was only like 70mw.

Well I'm kinda sad as I didn't take any pictures of it since I took a eBay pen laser cap and mounted it on the end of the module. And I sold it last night.

Re: My C6 532nm Laser

I got my 50mW green module from Fasttech. Out of the box it does 82mW at 380mA/3V
After some testing I decided go to the 100mW mark.
The result is 107mW at 414mA/3V input. The brass module was held in a large aluminium heatsink.
Not bad for a $10 module. :)

 nice! Well I just ordered 3 more and am going to give there 100mw 405nm a shot as well. Thinking about adding both colors to my spirograph.

Re: My C6 532nm Laser

Yup...it was this thread. I just ordered mine today. I have a C-6 coming that I was going to use for my 650nm, but....

Can you tell me about the glowing rings on your C-6? I haven't yet seen one of these hosts in person and I didn't notice any rings on the one I ordered. Is this custom, an upgrade? It would be nice to add that to mine if possible.

Congrats on your sale!

In that case, good sir, are these something you sell? I'm always happy to support a member of the forum!

Re: My C6 532nm Laser

By the way, since we are all ordering these, I am assuming that there is no IR filtration. But, perhaps it should be said by those who know more than I do.

Thank you in advance...I did look on the website, but no info was given.
