i was wandering if you could get a green module and replace the IR diode with a more powerful 200mw. i got the idea from the stontek site.
would it make a 5mw laser way more powerful.
what IR diode does a 5mw 532nm module have anyway?

Replacing a pump diode won't do any good unless the crystal can handle it. The crystal can only take so much IR before it is oversaturated. I want to say the pump diode is a 808nm diode. The laser might actually be dimmer it eh IR puts out too much power. The heat will cause power to actually go down.

200mW. Perhaps a bit under driven in some instances, but the diode is usually 200mW. The WL core, for example, requires 300mA of current according to their website, and that sure isn't going into a 50mW diode.
