which model is this laser?

okay, i've got this laser, the seller claims it's output is 250mw, and i'm not pretty sure of it, it can't burn anything, it just pokes holes in black plastic bag, can someone please tell me which model is this laser, and did the guy who sold it to me ripped me off, i paid arround 60$ for it..

What color is the laser ?
The power seems right to me if it pokes holes in plastic.

The most you'll reasonably be hoping for is ~200mW, basic on the size and type of module that fits inside that host.

The challenge in figuring out what you have, is that the same host is just as often used to house 20mW modules, as it is 200mW modules. So really, "who knows", you might have 50mW or 150mW, or almost anything else around that range.

any good laser sellers online you recommend?
i am searching for a good burning laser for 100$ od less.. possible?

It is a SkyLasers #200

I cant tell you what the output of yours is, no way of really knowing without a LPM, however, if its turns out to be around 100mw, then yes you got ripped. Im guessing it is EXACTLY the same as mine.

I have 3 of that style from ebay, all three put out between 90-120mw, and they were only $14.99 ea. and they are shipped from Chicago. They are sold as <5mw by the seller. WAY over spec!!!

One of mine peaked at 143mw.

Here is a pic of one I stripped and polished (mostly) next to a stock one.

They are decent for the money. I plan on getting a few more sometime just for the host.

Sorry for double post, but Akso , can you unscrew the the "heatsink" from it and get a pic of the module inside? I want to see what module they used in yours.

One of mine has that module. The other 2 have the plastic lens holder assembly.

If you want to know if its a 200mw+ module (doubtful) , buy one from ebay for $15 and compare the beam visibility/brightness. This wont be a a true measurement of power, but if yours is 250mw, then the beam will be much more visible in comparison to the ebay ones which measure consistently at around 100mw.
